Perspectives is a writing skills book for intermediate students. Covering both general problem areas and range text types, the material is designed to develop students' ability to write effectively for different purposes . Each unit uses process techniques of drafting and rewriting to build up students' confidence to experiment and become proficient in a variety of writing skills.

Perspectives include the following special features:
* A challenging selection of text types and written keys, including factual, personal and creative writing
* Practice in writing skills relevant to students’ immediate needs as well as groundwork for higher level writing, providing useful preparation for a range of EFL exams (e.g. FCE)
