Vanzelfsprekend has been a popular basic method of Dutch for highly skilled adults for many years. The course deals with the levels A1 and A2 of the Common European framework of Reference for Languages. The method is suitable for both self-tuition and class use and is adjusted to all types of learning. The language course Vanzelfsprekend, originally published in 1996, has been completely updated and now presents a lively textbook, a workbook, four DVDs and four CDs. By means of short and lively units some 2,000 frequent words, the basic grammar and the most useful speech acts in Dutch are offered and mastered. The entertaining DVD-soap is at the centre of Vanzelfsprekend. Each part starts with an episode in which new vocabulary, speech acts and grammar feature in a natural way. Students will also find 10 current commentaries on Flemish and Belgian society. These DVDs are actually amusing as well as being an integral part of the course! They show nicely Belgian/Dutch humour while teaching you some vital language points.
