This reference work is a structural grammar of the adamawa dialect of fulani as spoken in nigeria and cameroun. It is primarily written for linguists and those who already know fulani. The grammar is divided into three parts--(1) phonemics and morphophonemics, discussing segmental and suprasegmental phonemes, permitted sequences of phonemes, phoneme reduction, variation in vowel length, vowel harmony, and morphological stress, (2) morphology, treating nominals, verbals, and noninflected parts of speech, (3) syntax, discussing phrases, clauses, and discourses.
