Default My Translation of an Egyptian Play

    ReUploaded by arcadius 23.11.2015

This seems a little strange: for many years I have strongly struggled against my desire to publish any of my translated works (from English into Arabic, or vice versa) on the web.

However, I cannot find a better gift for Language Academy except one of my favourite translated works: A renowned Egyptian Play by Nooman Ashour called "ÚíáÉ ÇáÏæÛÑì" (translated as "The House of Al-Dhughry") which I translated years ago upon receiving a request from the Egyptian Ministry of Culture. This play is now being taught as part of any Oriental Drama Course in USA.

The reason why I like this play is because it truly represents some aspects of modern of Egyptian culture.

One of the things that make me feel happy about this translation is that two dissertations were done in 2009 about my translation: an MA in Cairo University and a PhD in Ain Shams University, Egypt.

    Hope you will like it.

You are most welcome my dear. Hope you'll enjoy it. I'd be glad to read your contrastive analysis once you have finished it. I also recommend that you try to read the dissertations which were recently done in both Cairo and Ain Shams Universities.

    Regards
